Red Berry Smoothie

Breakfast a la carte

A recipe to unleash the imagination

Take it easy

It’s the weekend. For at least two days, the early mornings and the rush have gone. There’s no stress today. You wake up without the alarm, you linger a little in bed. You get up, still in your pyjamas, you go to the kitchen and you think… what could I prepare today?

You want to take care of yourself, provide nutrients to your body and at the same time enjoy your food. You want something healthy and easy to digest that allows you to add the ingredients you want right now.

This is the perfect smoothie. What are you waiting for?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of  frozen red berries
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup of non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 piece of ginger

Optional Toppings

  • Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
  • Goji berries
  • Hemp seeds
  • Puffed rice
  • Cacao nibs
  • Desiccated coconut

Preparation

Tiempo necesario: 10 minutos.

The preparation is very simple

  1. Prepare all of the ingredients. If the blender is not very powerful, you may need to take the fruit out of the freezer 5 minutes before.

  2. Blend at maximum power for 1 minute. Check if it is the desired consistency.

  3. Add more vegetal milk if needed – the idea is to enjoy it with a spoon.

  4. Serve in a bowl and decorate with toppings as required

This is a perfect smoothie for those days when you wake up thinking about taking care of yourself and your clock gives you permission. Take it easy, enjoy it, open your pantry and choose the toppings that you want.

Make a gift to your immune system. Give it health and well-being.

This smoothie contains B, C and E vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, manganese, calcium, iron, phosphorus or potassium. In addition, it is a powerful anti-inflammatory and has anti-cancer properties.

It’s ideal if you’re trying to lose weight, as ginger increases body temperature and speeds up metabolism. In such a case, limit toppings such as puffed rice and cacao nibs or add more fruit as it gives you lots of nutrients with hardly any more calories.

Remember that digestion begins in the mouth and chew every bite. Saliva will help you to digest the food.

Toppings help you do that. Always choose top quality products, don’t skimp on health!
